Good Morning Cambridge!
Please listen to our morning announcements.
The quote of the day is
“To learn how to succeed, you first must learn how to fail.”
by Shaquille O’Neal
This means you won’t learn without making mistakes.
Did you know that today is Mrs. Vose’s last day at Cambridge? We will miss her a lot! So stop by the office to say good bye.
Today is also the last day before Spring Break starts! Whoo!
The library monitors for today are Jenna and Mya.
Parents – here’s what else you’ll want to know -
WARNING – there’s a lot of great links included in the info below. Buckle up and read everything BEFORE you click the links! Focus! Focus!
Huge thanks to all the families that walked and talked and enjoyed a coffee with the City of Surrey this morning on our Community Walk & Talk. If you missed it, you can still share your feedback about your walk to school (highlites and lowlites). Just drop the PAC an email and we’ll compile the feedback and forward to the city. firstname.lastname@example.org
Learning to fail – I came across a brilliant blog post on this very subject earlier this week. The post was centred around the quote “Do not handicap your children by making their lives easy.” by Robert A. Heinlein. The wisdom the mom adds in her blog post is fantastic. Check it out:
Huge thanks to parent, Manjit, for the heads up on this great notice from Surrey Schools and Fraser Health about Whooping Cough. Take a peek at the notice and visit the Fraser Health website for more information on symptoms.
Community Invite – Huge thanks to parent Kim, for the heads up about a great event happening in our neighbourhood next Wednesday, March 14th at 1 pm. The Bethany Newton United Church is hosting a movie day. They’ll be showing a movie on the big screen and will have popcorn. Admission is free. Donations welcome to help support the Eco-Symposium they are hosting in June (specifically to help sponsor a child from Greece who is attending). Movie title TBA (suggestions are welcome!). For more information, please contact Kim at email@example.com . The church is located at 14853 60th Avenue. You’ll find more info on the Eco-Symposium on their website as well
